THE White Horse at Quidhampton is reopening tomorrow.
Landlords Nick and Zoe Hoare are hoping to transform the pub into a popular, communityfocused venue and they are expecting about 300 people at the opening event.
“We’ve only been here two weeks and we already know so many people,” said Mrs Hoare.
“The whole village has been so welcoming and so warm, with people offering to help and asking when the pub is going to open. It’s been absolutely fantastic.”
Mr Hoare, a farrier, and Mrs Hoare, whose background is in sales and retail, have worked in pubs, but this is the first they have run.
Their joint investment with Enterprise has seen the pub undergo refurbishment work that includes a new kitchen, interior and exterior decoration, new signage, new toilets and a tidied up garden with new outdoor furniture.
Mr and Mrs Hoare also plan to introduce private parties in the pub’s function room, bring in a range of cask ales, offer good quality, home-cooked food and take on new staff.
