Ringwood mayor Barbara Woodifield cuts the ribbon on the Stable Family Home Trust's new facility

A NEW Skillsbase Centre for people with a learning disability has been opened at The Stable Family Home Trust at Cornerways in Ringwood.

Mayor Barbara Woodifield opened the centre, which will offer a choice of 60 accredited learning opportunities for people with a learning disability to enable some to successfully make the transition to independent supported living.

Courses will include independent living skills, literacy/numeracy and computer skills, employability skills and personal development.

Cllr Woodified has also raised £300 for the trust with a recent Pampered Chef lunch.
