THE night sky above Downton Moot comes under scrutiny this Saturday when rocket scientist Neil Phillipson and writer and broadcaster Jane Green test drive the show they will tour the country with in October.

The event under the stars in the Moot is a preview of their Tour of the Universe presentation, which aims to give an uplifting, light-hearted and inspiring whistle-stop tour of all that space has to offer.

According to the organisers, it's like a late dress-rehearsal.

"We’ll be ironing out any kinks in the material that arise from being in front of a full audience and, although it won’t be as complete a show as you would get at a theatre, it should be a lot of fun!"

It's suitable for the whole family and telescopes will be available. The evening runs from 7.30pm and tickets at £5 (concessions £3) are available on the gate.
