CYCLISTS and walkers are being urged to wear bright clothing over the winter months.
As the evenings are drawing in, Dorset County Council is reminding people to “be safe and be seen” while on the roads.
Peter Finney, Dorset County Council cabinet member for environment and the economy, said: “Making yourself clearly visible, and making sure your bicycle is roadworthy and visible is very important.”
Cyclists are being urged to make sure they have lights on the front and rear of their bikes, as well as reflectors. Cyclists and walkers are also being reminded to wear fluorescent clothing during the day and reflective clothing at night.
