A YOUNG driver was killed in an accident on the A360 at New Cut crossroads between Wilton and Woodford last night.
The man, in his early twenties, was driving a silver Daewoo Matiz which collided with a black Ford Focus and a Mercedes Sprinter van, before hitting a tree at around 7.15pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Focus was taken to Southampton General Hospital with abdominal injuries.
The road was closed for five-and-a-half hours while police investigated the incident.
The family of the deceased man have been informed but formal identification has not yet been completed.
Anyone who has information regarding the collision is asked to contact PC Cargill or PC Giles of the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters, Devizes on 101.
