A PATIENT has tested negative for the deadly Ebola virus after attending Salisbury District Hospital with some of the symptoms.
The person has a history of West African travel.
This is the second time a patient has been tested for Ebola after attending Salisbury A&E.
A statement from the hospital said: “The Trust can confirm that a sample for precautionary Ebola testing was sent to Public Health England, involving an individual at Salisbury District Hospital with a history of travel to West Africa.
“Ebola was considered very unlikely but testing was done as a precaution, and was negative.”
