ST Thomas’s Church in Salisbury is hosting a series of charity concerts on Fridays in Lent at 12.15pm. Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection for the four charities the church will support with its Lent Appeal.
Performers will include Peter Grove (piano), John Dempster (tenor), Jane Beaumont (clarinet), Helen Palmer (cello) and organists David Power and Ute Schwarting. The next concert is on Friday (February 27) which features the chorales of J.S. Bach.
In addition, the choir will give two concerts for the appeal - St. Matthew Passion by Schütz on Sunday, March 22 at 6pm and the Litany of Thorns by John Harper on Tuesday, March 31 at 7.30pm.
