SUPERHEROES took over the classroom to mark the launch of a new Sustrans initiative to encourage children to bike, scoot and walk to school.
Pupils from Bemerton St John Primary School transformed themselves into their favourite superheroes when they were joined by Bike It Plus officer Robin Imeson.
As part of the Sustrans Superhero scheme, the children get points for using sustainable transport to get to school which will earn them prizes.
Headteacher Alun Richards said: “It is a really good project and Robin has been absolutely fantastic with the children. I just think every school should be involved. It is really important for the safety of the children and reducing transport around the school.
“It is really nice to see the children excited about it.”
The scheme is part of Sustrans Bike It Plus project, which is being run in partnership with Wiltshire Council and involves primary schools in the area.
