CUB scouts from across Salisbury recently took part in an evening of sports to achieve their athletics challenge badge.

Nearly 200 members of the scouting community took part in the event at Salisbury athletics track. The event is held every year and see cubs from across the district come together to enjoy sport. Cubs took part in sports including long jump, high jump and Relay and also learn about health benefits daily exercise.

The programs, which are created for cub scouts, focus on their personal development and work in conjunction with leaders and youth members. This event has seen growth over the years and is a main event in the district calendar.

Sandra Mckenna, Assistant District Commissioner for Cubs Scouts said “A great evening of athletic fun with 198 Cubs Scouts taking part and all of them will have earned their Athletics Badge” with Leader Colin Scott adding “ Its events like this that make scouting so popular with child as well as adults”
