A DOG reported stolen in Amesbury has been reunited with its owners after nine days.

As previously reported in the Journal, Andrew Parry's two dogs went missing after suspects broke into a locked shed in the back garden of his home in Burwood Close.

Kelly, a liver and white springer spaniel, pictured right, was returned yesterday evening (Wednesday, November 25) by a man who had bought her at Old Sarum recreational ground.

The man recognised her as one of the missing dogs and got in touch with the owner.

Mr Parry said he had "mixed emotions" about the news as his other dog Pepper, a chocolate Labrador, is still missing, but thought it was "brilliant" to have Kelly returned. "Thank you to everyone who helped, the support has been amazing," he said, "everyone from the closest friends to random strangers have helped us.

"This shows that there is hope that when dogs do go missing that they will be found".
