A MAN had his jaw broken after being attacked in Bemerton Heath last week.
The assault happened between 2pm and 3pm last Tuesday on Rawlence Road when a 23-year-old victim was hit by a 39-year-old man.
The victim was taken to Salisbury District Hospital suffering from a substantial head injury.
The 39-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
An investigation is ongoing and Wiltshire Police ask witnesses to get in contact with the force.
