A PENSIONER had her bag stolen while walking along a cycle path in Salisbury on Friday.
The theft happened at 10.30am when the elderly lady from Salisbury was walking by the river between Waitrose and the Five Rivers Leisure Centre.
As she approached Warwick Close near to the allotments, a man ran past her and snatched her handbag.
The suspect was wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers. He ran off in the direction of Warwick Close.
The victim called out for help and a number of people came to her aid. Her handbag and purse were found discarded further along the path but she had cash stolen.
Officers are requesting that anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any information regarding the theft contacts Wiltshire Police on 101.
