A SUSPECT scaled scaffolding at a block flats at Bishops Court and spray painted a graffiti tag on top of the building.
Police say there have been several incidents of graffiti in the city.
PC Eleanor Darcy said: "This is the latest of several similar incidents in the Salisbury area and we believe the damage is being carried out by a group of local youths.
"This latest incident is particularly dangerous as the suspect(s) have climbed up temporary scaffolding. It is lucky no one was hurt."
The incident at Bishops Court in Bishopdown Road happened on May 12.
Anyone with any information is asked to call PC Darcy at Amesbury police station on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
