A WOMAN has been left with minor injuries after an assauled yesterday evening.

The incident took place betwen 7.20pm and 7.35pm in Pennings Road, Tidworth when a woman, aged in her 30s, was assaulted.

Police would like to speak to two men who were in a vehicle in the area shortly after the incident and stopped to speak to a man near the scene. They were driving a red hatchback and are believed to be military personnel. The vehicle was being driven along Sidbury Circular Road and turned right onto the A338 towards Salisbury.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of common assault. He was taken to Melksham custody where he currently remains.
