Two Salisbury residents will attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September for charity.

Brothers Andy Willson, and Mark Ward, will begin the ascent up Africa's highest mountain on Thursday, September 08.

It is hoped that the trip, which is entirely self funded, will raise a combined £2000 for charity, with Andy supporting the Depression Alliance, and Mark raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, which gives support to hundreds of children each day and where Mark himself once temporarily resided.

Andy has suffered from depression, and is currently working his way through the illness.

The brothers are determined to raise awareness for both causes.

Andy said:" I just want to do something that can go towards helping and saving at least one person from going through the pain, suffering and loss that I have had to."
