A MAN who was assaulted on the Town Path says his attackers only stopped after one of them said: "it's not him".
The 19-year-old was walking towards Harnham from Queen Elizabeth Gardens at about 1.30am on Friday (August 19) when he was attacked by two men.
The attack ended when one of the men said "it's not him" and the victim was able to run off.
He did not require hospital treatment, but sustained bruising to the face.
One man was described as white, aged in his thirties, of stocky build and around 6ft 2in in height. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
The second man was taller than the first and was also wearing a hooded top, which was lighter in colour.
