Homes evacuated and cordon set up after suspicious vehicle spotted
ARMY explosive experts were called out to Winterbourne Gunner to deal with a bomb scare this afternoon.
Homes were evacuated and a 300 metre cordon was put in place after reports of a suspicious vehicle at the Defence CBRN Centre at about 12.45pm.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) have attended the scene and the vehicle is all in order. The cordon has now been lifted and all those evacuated are returning."
