AN inquest has been opened three months after a man was found dead in his home.
The body of Ivan Edwin Russell, 48, was discovered on July 18 at a property in Kivel Court, Salisbury.
It is not clear exactly when Mr Russell died, but he could only be positively identified by his dental records.
An investigation concluded that he had died of opiate toxicity and not of natural causes, meaning an inquest had to be opened and adjourned.
Salisbury Coroner's Court heard that Mr Russell lived alone and had a known history of drug abuse.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
