CONSTABLE’S famous painting of Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows was recreated in Lego.
Young visitors at Salisbury Museum got the opportunity to help build a life-size version of the John Constable painting at a half term event yesterday (Tuesday).
About 700 visitors took part and the final image contained 1020 Lego tiles.
Constable’s painting features in a major exhibition at the museum, Constable in Context: Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows in Perspective, which runs until March
25. The exhibition is dedicated to images of Salisbury Cathedral through the ages.
The activities at the museum continue with a Coo Var Glow Wall event on Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Visitors can get creative by painting with light.
