HOMELESS charity Alabaré is to open a new superstore and warehouse in Wilton.

The new warehouse store, which is located along the A36 and behind Reeves the Bakers, opens on Monday, April 3.

Lynn Ireland, the retail manager at Alabaré, said: “I am really excited about this new venture. Now shoppers will be able to see huge array of our stock under one roof.

"There will be something for everyone; with clothes, white goods, homewares, bikes, toys and even a wedding dress section. I am particularly excited about the upcycled furniture we are going to be selling, which is currently being created in our local workshop.”

“All the proceeds from the store will go towards our charity’s support of homeless and vulnerable people, so shoppers will know that every purchase they make will be helping someone in our community who has been struggling.”

Residents from Alabaré’s Homes for Veterans in Salisbury have been helping to get the warehouse ready to open.

Steve Mallon, one of the charity’s Homes for Veterans residents, said: “It’s great to be able to get involved and see everything take shape here at Wilton. Volunteering gives me the opportunity to give something back to a charity that is supporting me and helping me get back on my feet. We’re all really looking forward to the grand opening.”

The new store will be open six days a week. A grand opening fun day is being held on Saturday, April 8.

The charity is looking for volunteers to help with the new store. For more information call 01722 322882.
