MORE than 100 old comrades of all ranks attended an Army reunion at the weekend.
The reunion, held every other year in Qudos, Salisbury, was for the cavalry, in particular the regiments that go before the Kings Royal Hussars who are stationed in Tidworth.
Organiser Richie Mogg, who has been running the reunions for around 10 years, said: “The idea is basically to get them all together. We get new faces all the time – people who haven’t seen each other for 20/30 years. We always meet in March at some point.”
The Royal Hussars is a battle tank regiment with former soldiers having served in Northern Ireland, the Gulf wars, Kosovo and Bosnia.
Richie, who lives in Alderbury, left the army in 1999 and now works with the Army Air Corps in Nether Wallop.
He said: “People came from Hungary, Denmark, Germany and all across the UK.”
The Regiments included 10th Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales Own), 11th Hussars (Prince Albert’s Own), 14/20th Kings Hussars, and Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales Own) as well as The Kings Royal Hussars.
