ANOTHER man has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of businessman Guy Hedger.

Officers descended on a house in West Howe to execute a warrant.

A 39-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

He is currently helping officers with their enquiries.

Police, including forensic investigators, were seen at a house in Maclean Road.

At least five officers were seen searching extensively through waste bins and the front gardens.

A police dog trained in searching for drugs, cash and firearms was also been brought in to help with the search.

Acting police sergeant Jamie Heath told the Daily Echo at the scene that a warrant was being executed.

One resident - a father of six-year-old twins who asked not to be named - said seeing the incident made him concerned for his children.

“You like to know what’s going on; it is a bit worrying,” he said.

Another unnamed parent said she saw officers when she arrived at the bus stop at around 8.20am.

“We just walked out of the front door and they were everywhere already,” she said of the police officers.

“They were out in the front garden looking through the bins.”

The 39-year-old man is the sixth person to be arrested in connection with Mr Hedger’s death.

He died of gunshot wounds in the early hours of April 30 at his home at Castlewood near Ringwood.

A 41-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion to commit aggravated burglary and has since been released under investigation.

A 40-year-old woman from Bournemouth has also been released under investigation.

Kevin Downton, 40, from Winterborne Stickland near Blandford, 41-year-old Jason Baccus and 44-year-old Scott Keeping, both of Verney Close in Bournemouth, have all been charged with murder.

The three have been remanded into custody and their case has been adjourned until July 26 after they appeared at Winchester Crown Court.
