THERE was a fire involving a high voltage electric pole in a field near Rockbourne this morning (Thursday, June 22).
The incident was reported at about 8.21am and firefighters from Fordingbridge attended.
On arrival at the scene they found the electricity pole had snapped in half and both sections were on fire.
The cable was still live so the electricity company were called to isolate the electricity before the fire was extinguished.
The fire was dealt with by about 9.55am.
