MAINTENANCE work is set to cause misery for train passengers this Sunday as all lines to and from Salisbury will be closed.
Throughout the day, until the late afternoon, buses will replace all South Western Railway (SWR) services between Salisbury and Romsey.
According to a post on SWR’s website trains will then run as normal between Romsey and Southampton.
“Trains will run at the normal times between London Waterloo and Andover, also between Gillingham and Exeter St Davids,” the post added.
Fast buses will replace trains between Andover, Salisbury and Gillingham.
Shuttle bus services will run between Andover and Salisbury, serving Grateley; also between Salisbury and Gillingham, serving Tisbury.
The lines between Salisbury and Warminster will be closed all day and there will be no South Western Railway services to Bristol.
Commuters are advised to use the bus services to Warminster and Great Western Railway train services onward.
