A RURAL house near Downton was targeted by burglars who took jewellery and cash.
Thieves broke into the house, close to the A338, at about 1pm on October 31.
A watch and various items of jewellery were stolen during the burglary including an Opal necklace on a silver chain, a solid silver link style bracelet and Pandora earrings, as well as cash.
Today (Thursday) police have issued an appeal for information about the incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a dark haired person wearing a long sleeved white tom and black bottoms walking or running along the A338 on the Salisbury side of the village. This person was carrying a cream coloured bag.”
