THE first defibrillator in Wilton has been unveiled with the help of the town’s rotary club.
The defibrillator has been installed in the Market Square after the Rotary Club of Wilton presented funds to the town council earlier this year to fund the life-saving equipment.
Following deliberations, Pastor of Wilton Baptist Church, Jonathan Greening, allowed for the equipment to be installed onto the wall of church.
To mark the completion, last Saturday, members of Wilton Town Council, including mayor Peter Edge, members of the rotary club and Rev Greening held a public awareness event.
Training sessions giving advice on how to operate the defibrillator will take place next year, with the first being held in the town council chamber on January 30 at 7pm.
