ARMED police officers were called to an incident in Winding Way, Salisbury, on Tuesday.
A heavy police presence was seen in the area and eye witnesses reported seeing a number of firearms officers and police vehicles.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said the incident related to someone who appeared to have mental health issues, adding: "The incident has now been resolved and no arrests have been made."
