AFTER a record-breaking run of Jack and the Beanstalk Salisbury Playhouse has revealed the 2018/19 pantomime show.

The next Christmas pantomime will be a new production of Beauty and the Beast.

The production will be written by Andrew Pollard and directed by Ryan McBryde – the team behind recent hit Salisbury Playhouse pantomimes Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin and Cinderella.

The famous fairy tale, which was turned into a live action film starring Emma Watson last year, tells the story of Beauty who is taken prisoner by a Prince who has been turned into a beast by a curse.

To accommodate demand, Beauty and the Beast will run for an extra week, from December1 until January 13, 2019.

The record-breaking run of Jack and the Beanstalk at Salisbury Playhouse this winter was enjoyed by more than 23,000 people.

Priority booking for Salisbury Playhouse members for Beauty and the Beast opens on Monday, January 29. General booking starts on February 1.

Tickets can be booked by calling 01722 320333 or by visiting salisburyplayhouse.com.
