A RECORD number of people came out to brave the cold and support Alabare’s Big Sleep on Friday night.
More than 200 participants took part and bedded down under the Cloisters at Salisbury Cathedral. And for this year’s event dogs were able to accompany their owners.
Jamie, a former Alabaré service user said: “Nights like this are so important because having a roof over your head is the most important thing and Alabaré help build that foundation.”
A number of local community groups and schools were in attendance including Sodexo, who provided breakfast, Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, 32 regiment of the Royal Artillery and MP John Glen. Refreshments on the night were provided by Boston Tea Party.
The event, which is in its ninth year, is in aid of the Salisbury-based charity
