PUPPY love was in the air at a Wilton café last night as singletons were given the chance to experience a dating evening with a twist.
Monty and Mabel’s in North Street organised invited those looking for love to meet their perfect match and their dog.
People from as far as Gillingham and Verwood brought their pets for the Valentine’s evening of Prosecco and homemade dog bones.
Owner Corinne Roberts said: “The people who attended had a really nice evening and they chatted until late.
“With the dogs being there I think it helped break the ice on the night as it got people talking.”
To attract potential mates, owners had also given their dogs a smart look with two of the pooches sporting bow ties for the evening.
Corinne said there were no romantic matches, but this has not put her off holding another event in the future.
“The people who were there asked me to do another event which I wouldn’t rule out. A lot of people have said to me what a great idea it is.”
