ANYONE looking for a change in career can visit the Journal’s job fair on Tuesday.
The Journal’s 2018 Job Fair takes place on April 24 in the Guildhall, Salisbury and is open to jobseekers from 9am to 3pm.
It will showcase a variety of jobs, suiting a wide range of skilled and unskilled candidates looking for full or part-time vacancies, permanent or temporary, as well as apprenticeships, courses and career advice.
Job Fair organiser, Sue Kennington, said: “We have a mixture of exhibitors ranging from education, engineering, training, care, retail, manufacturing and the whole event is sponsored by Home Bargains. This is one of two job fairs the Salisbury Journal hosts twice a year, the next is in September at the same venue.
"The Journal Job Fair is an immensely popular event, as recent years have proved. It aims to provide a relaxed way for people to find out more about real job opportunities, and for employers to meet candidates who could later join their companies.”
At the fair, candidates and organisations can talk freely and openly without nerves, and candidates can find out exactly who companies are looking for.
Bypassing the recruitment process, candidates can then produce more focused, specific and professional job applications, really highlighting their relevant skills.
The Job Fair is free to attend.
