A WOMAN'S eye socket was broken in a violent attack in a city nightclub.
Police say the victim, aged 40, was assaulted by another woman in Kandi in Catherine Street at some time between 1am and 2am on Sunday, April 8.
Officers have not named either woman but say they believe the attacker and the victim knew each other.
A statement from Wiltshire Police states: "We’re appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Salisbury.
"Between 1am and 2am on Sunday 8 April, a 40-year-old woman was assaulted in Kandi Lounge, Catherine Street, by another woman, who is believed to be known to her.
"She sustained a broken eye socket as a result and required hospital treatment.
"We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the club who may have witnessed the incident take place.
"Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
