SALISBURY nurse Sarah Davies is lacing up her running shoes to take on the London Marathon on Sunday.
Sarah, who is a nurse practitioner in the emergency department at Salisbury District Hospital, is supporting Macmillan Cancer Care.
She said: “I was a Macmillan nurse for a while and in that time, got to really see what the charity means to people directly or indirectly facing cancer.”
Sarah hopes to raise at least £2,500 for the charity, which provides specialist health care, information and support to anyone affected by cancer.
She added: “The event takes place five days before my 50th birthday and figured that it was now or never."
