Man in critical condition after assault
A Man in his fifties is in a critical condition after an assault in Wilton Road, Salisbury.
Police say the assault took place outside the Half Way House in Wilton Road at about 1.20am on Friday.
A police spokesman said: "A male in his fifties was assaulted by a lone male who ran off towards Bemerton Heath.
"The victim is in a critical condition."
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information call 101.
