WILTSHIRE College has won planning permission to develop its Salisbury campus.

The £15m project includes a new building housing a reception area, classrooms, a restaurant, specialist catering kitchens, a gym, and a lecture theatre. The development will accommodate new engineering facilities as well as life sciences and a higher education centre.

Wiltshire Council approved the plans on Thursday in what principal Amanda Burnside said was an "important milestone" in the transformation of the campus.

Refurbishing some of the existing buildings will start in this summer. New building work will start in summer 2019 and the project is set to be complete by September 2020.
