A DRIVER was left shocked after a tree fell on his car.
Police were called just before 9pm last night (May 23) to reports that a tree had fallen on a vehicle at St Thomas Bridge and the road was blocked at St Thomas Roundabout on the A30.
Two fire crews from Salisbury attended and found that no-one was trapped in the vehicle, which was on its roof.
Firefighters made the scene safe and cleared the tree.
A police spokesman said: "Nobody was injured but the male driver was shocked. The road was closed while the scene was dealt with."
The ambulance service also attended.
The incident was cleared by about 10.45pm.
