A FORDINGBRIDGE pupil got to brush shoulders with a host of celebrities when he was a finalist in a story writing competition.
Hector Godden, eight, who attends Fordingbridge Junior School, was in the top 50 of the 500 Words Competition and attended a special event at Hampton Court where he got to meet actor Jim Broadbent, writer and comedian David Walliams, pictured, Radio and TV presenter Chris Evans and singer Alexandra Burke.
He said: “It was an exciting and awesome day - a once in a lifetime chance to meet all those celebrities.
"It was really interesting to see how a radio show is made and I enjoyed the live bands like Bastille.
“My favourite celebrity to meet was David Walliams because he is the most famous of them all.
“The best bit of the day was the fact I got to go at all.”
