POLICE in the New Forest are urging residents to report incidents of antisocial behaviour to help them crack down on crime.

“Help us to help you” is the message from Safer New Forest officers, who want residents with community concerns to report it to officers.

The message comes after a number of incidents in which cars and houses have been damaged but the owners have not reported it.

New Forest District Council portfolio holder for housing and communities Jill Cleary said: “Antisocial behaviour and criminal damage creates a great deal of distress to the victims.

“I would appeal to the public not to turn a blind eye to crime and antisocial behaviour in your community, report those involved to help your area become a nicer place to live.”

To report incidents of antisocial behaviour ring police on 101 for non emergency problems. In cases of an emergency always dial 999.
