Trial to start of Bishopstone man accused of stabbing

THE trial of a Bishopstone man accused of stabbing a man in his home is due to start today. Scott MacKenzie, 22, of The Croft, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary and false imprisonment.

Police were called to an address in High Street, Gillingham, Dorset, at about 5.35am on Sunday, March 11, where the victim, a 19-year-old local man, sustained injuries to his legs and hands which were serious but not life threatening.

The trial will take place at Dorchester Crown Court.
