New theatre school for children
5:10pm Monday 3rd September 2012 in Headlines By Hannah White
A SATURDAY morning theatre arts school for children is opening its doors in Salisbury later this month.
Starcast performing arts schools first opened in Salisbury in September 2008 and the groups now have more than 170 students training in dance, drama and singing.
Principal Samantha Holloway has decided to open a new three-hour school on Saturday mornings from September 22.
Classes will be held at St Mark’s Junior School and children have the opportunity to be trained by professional actors, singers and dancers.
For more information and details about enrolment, contact Mrs Holloway on 07974 721091.
• Starcast recently raised more than £500 for the Precious Moments Campaign for the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital, with a show at Salisbury Playhouse.
