A POTTERY workshop was led by a nationally renowned potter at Salisbury arts centre at the weekend.
Any Mason was joined by the centre’s resident artist Mirka Golden-Hann in leading the workshop in Raku pottery on Saturday.
In Japanese, where the process originated, Raku translates as 'enjoyment'. The technique is best known for its rapid, spectacular kiln firings, during which vessels are removed from the kiln at around 1050C and enveloped in hay and straw.
