VISITORS to Berwick St John country fair could have been forgiven for thinking they’d taken a step back in time at the weekend. The best of vintage vehicles and traditional techniques were on show at the popular event.

The fair, which has been going since 1992, attracted thousands of visitors while raising money for Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal.

In addition to the steam engines, vintage lorries, bikes and cars, military vehicles and models, there was the chance to learn about historic farming methods and country crafts.

There were displays and exhibitions, trade stands, musical entertainment and a flower tent, along with local produce, refreshments and fairground rides.
