Story evening at Manor Fields

Story evening at Manor Fields Story evening at Manor Fields

CHILDREN, staff and parents from Manor Fields Primary School dressed in their pyjamas and brought their teddy bears along for a special evening of storytelling.

Early years and Key Stage 1 children enjoyed three stories, which were acted out for them, including Polar Express told under a parachute with Christmas trees and fairy lights.

The staff room was transformed into a toy shop for Albert le Blanc, and Snail and the Whale was told in the school hall before everyone enjoyed cookies and milk.

Class teacher and literacy coordinator Jo Crisfield said: “The children absolutely loved it. It was lovely to encourage children and adults to read together and there were lots of siblings there as well, so it was a lovely community event.”
