Support needed for Scope

FUNDRAISERS from cerebral palsy charity Scope will be calling at homes in Salisbury over the coming months to ask residents to support their work.

Fundraisers will be wearing Scope's bright turquoise jackets with the yellow round logo containing the equal sign, which symbolises equality for disabled people.

They will be available in the afternoon and evenings to inform members of the public about Scope's work.

The money raised will help Scope provide services such as Scope Response, a free advice and information service for disabled people and their families in Salisbury and the rest of the country. It will also go towards Scope's Time to Get Equal campaign - which fights for equality for all disabled people.

Karen Barnes, Head of Individual Giving at Scope, said: "Our fundraisers are knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. They're trained to answer a wide range of questions about Scope's work.

"I hope people in the city are able to spare some time to listen to what they have to say and help support our valuable work with disabled people."

"Last time we were in the area, the people of Salisbury were really fantastic and we hope this time they'll be as generous and as interested in our work as before. It's a great opportunity for people to find out just how important our work is."
