Calling foul on dog owners
WOULD those who allow their dogs to freely defecate around St.Martin's Churchyard please show a little more respect for its residents and those who come to tend their graves.
I have exercised my own dog there daily for more than four years and, what used to be a pleasurable experience for us, could now be compared to playing Twister in a minefield of muck. One morning, I encountered no less than 17 piles of dog mess during my ten-minute walk, and my own dog ended up walking in some of it.
All the facilities are there for dog owners already, there's really no excuse.
If you walk your dog in the evening, take a torch, see where it does its business and deposit it on one of the many bins provided.
Not only is it an offence to not pick up after your dog, but a sign of deep disrespect, and I'm getting tired of regularly scraping your negligence off the soles of my shoes.
