A steamy weekend at country park
Nine tank engines will pull steam trains at Moors Valley Railway this Saturday and Sunday.
Four German narrow gauge steam locomotive enthusiasts, led by Alex Beck from Fellbach, near Stuttgart, will bring their own tank engines to operate passenger trains on the line.
In addition to three resident Marsh tank engines, UK steam enthusiasts from Kent, Worcester and Sussex will also take part.
General manager Jim Haylock said: "Although the
rally is primarily being held for railway enthusiasts I am sure that members of the
general public and children will enjoy the sight and sound of trains chuffing along our lines."
