Scouting fun in Dorset
The scouts achieved many of their goals
The scouts achieved many of their goals

HUNDREDS of scouts from East Dorset spent an adventurous and challenging Bank Holiday weekend at Buddens Farm near Wareham.

Following the Scouting Centenary in 2007, this years' camp theme was Rocket into the Future' and started with the youngsters being asked to set themselves active targets that they wanted to achieve during the course of the weekend.

From spending a night under canvas to hitting the gold in archery and from lighting a fire first time to paddling a kayak or reaching the top of the climbing wall - the scouts achieved many of their goals.

And even the rain didn't dampen the spirits as the youngsters, aged from six to 18, rose to the challenge and made the most of the activities on offer.

As the camp drew to a close the smiles and laughter were proof enough that the scouts enjoyed a fantastic weekend, with first time and more experienced campers commenting that they couldn't wait to do it all again.
