Permission granted to move fence
An application to reposition a fence at Three Legged Cross, which sparked letters of objection and a petition, has been approved.
East Dorset District Council heard the plan was
to move the existing two-metre fence enclosing the
garden at West Moors Road outwards, to enclose land next to the footpath that was also owned by the occupant.
The plan attracted a petition with signatures from 23 addresses in Dymewood Road and four letters.
Planning officials said most of the representations referred to the formation of a
vehicle access on to Dymewood Road, which did
not need permission as it is an unclassified road.
They said that moving the fence would not have any
demonstrable effect on the street scene and there had been no objection from high-way officials.
Councillors granted the application.
