THESPIANS in Fordingbridge are reenacting Ira Levin’s gripping mystery story Death Trap at Burgate School next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The play was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. It ran on Broadway for four years and was adapted into a film starring Michael Caine, Dyan Cannon and Christopher Reeve.

The story revolves around an English playwright and novelist Sidney Bruhl, who lives in Connecticut with his American wife. He befriends a young writer Clifford who has written a new stage thriller, which Bruhl intends to pass off as his own.
