Air ambulance makes 4,000 flights

HAMPSHIRE and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has flown its 4,000th mission since its first in 2007.

It involved a crew led by Dr Nick Maskery, who went to the aid of a patient on the Isle of Wight who needed to be conveyed to Southampton General Hospital.

The mercy dash involved a night landing on the hospital’s helipad, which would not have been possible without the enhanced service provided by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
